WINGS Weekend at Everett’s Paine Field

WINGS, (Pilot Proficiency Award Program) if you have not done this in the past, is a two part proficiency program sponsored by the FAA.  The FAA in its research into accidents has found that there are three areas that continue to have more accidents than all other areas.  These are, take off and landing, continued VFR into IMC, and Stall/Spin accidents.  To help better train pilots in these areas the WINGS program does a minimum of one hour of take off and landing practice, maneuvers, and simulated instrument flight.

The training is provided by flight instructors that volunteer their time to help lower the accident rate by providing this training, at no charge to the participating pilots.  In addition, it is recognized by regulation 61.56(e) as a direct replacement for the flight review.

Several seminars are scheduled to enable you to meet al the requirements for your “Wings.”
