About Aviation Academy

The Aviation Academy is for all students, ages 13 through 18, who are curious about aviation. We begin with an introduction to “ground school”. The books, materials and instruction are designed to give you a “real world” look at all that aviation has to offer. We will flight plan a local cross-country trip. We check the weather, contact Air Traffic Control… and launch! If you complete all of the classes, you will be assigned to a certificated pilot for further instruction, and, weather permitting at graduation… YOU WILL FLY!

  Instruction

The Aviation Academy is taught by some of the most experienced private, commercial and military pilots in the world. Our textbooks will provide you theory, and our pilots will tell you about the “real world”!

If you have any questions about aviation… we have the answers!

 Class Schedule

Two evenings per week- Mondays and Wednesdays from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Everett Community College at the Snohomish County Airport (Paine Field). We will also meet on three Saturdays- one for an airport tour, one for a tour of the Future of Flight Aviation Center,  and the last for graduation. Weather permitting, we will fly.

  Limited Class Size

Class size is limited to 30 students! Applications are “first come, first served”. We do keep “wait lists” should students drop out or are otherwise unable to attend. Note: As space is limited, we expect students to commit to attending every class. It’s only fair.
